Fibromyalgia is a complex chronic pain illness recognized by the American Medical Association. While it is most common in women, the illness strikes men, women and children of all ages and ethnic backgrounds. Some symptoms may include chronic pain, fatigue, difficulty concentrating, sleep disorders, Irritable Bowel Syndrome, chronic headaches, and jaw pain, among others. For those with severe symptoms, FMS can be extremely debilitating and interfere with even routine daily activities.
